Shubhankar Mondal is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of New Mexico, specializing in Systems and Control. His research focuses on Control Theory and Reinforcement Learning, with applications in Robotics.

He completed my Bachelor of Science (Honors in Physics), Bachelor of Technology in Instrumentation Engineering, and Master of Technology in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from the University of Calcutta, India. Before beginning my doctoral studies, he worked as an Instrumentation Engineer and later as an Automation Engineer, gaining several years of hands-on experience in industrial control, process automation, and system integration.

His research bridges theoretical control principles with real-world robotic applications, aiming to advance intelligent and adaptive autonomy for next-generation robotic systems.
